V DVB-T v októbri voľné vysielanie filmového kanálu

Počas októbra bude v celoštátnom digitálnom pozemnom vysielaní štandardom DVB-T respektíve DVB-T2 voľne k dispozícii všetkým užívateľom filmový kanál Joj Cinema, ktorý je inak súčasťou platenej ponuky Plustelka.

Avizuje to prevádzkovateľ celoštátneho DVB-T vysielania Towercom.

Joj Cinema sa vysiela v HD rozlíšení v tzv. prvom multiplexe, ktorý tento rok prešiel na štandard DVB-T2.

Počas októbra bude kanál podľa dostupných informácií zároveň v SD rozlíšení v kódeku H.264 vysielaný aj v druhom multiplexe, ktorý vysiela ešte v štandarde DVB-T.

Slovenské celoštátne pozemné televízne vysielanie štandardom DVB-T po viacerých neoptimálnych krokoch v minulosti má podľa dostupných informácií pomerne nízku sledovanosť a neatraktívnu bezplatnú ponuku.

V polovici roka bolo až na malú výnimku dokončené preladenie vysielačov a uvoľnenie frekvencií v pásme 700 MHz pre budúce využitie mobilnými operátormi. Pri prelaďovaní zároveň prvý multiplex, v ktorom sa šíria najmä kanály z platenej ponuky, okrem zmeny frekvencií prešiel z DVB-T na nový štandard DVB-T2 s výrazne väčšou kapacitou multiplexu.
