Vysoké Tatry opäť kvôli šetreniu v noci vypínajú verejné osvetlenie

Mesto Vysoké Tatry opäť pristupuje k potenciálne kontroverznému opatreniu, keď v niektorých lokalitách v noci kvôli šetreniu začalo úplne vypínať verejné osvetlenie.

Mesto to oznámilo dnes na sociálnej sieti, na oficiálnej webovej stránke zrejme zatiaľ na opatrenie neupozorňuje.

Mesto k takémuto opatreniu kvôli vysokým cenám za elektrickú energiu pristúpilo už v minulom roku a začalo od konca marca vypínať osvetlenie od 22:30 do 5:00. Vypínanie osvetlenia realizovalo najskôr v častiach Tatranská Kotlina a Tatranská Lomnica a podľa avizovaných informácií malo byť neskôr vypnuté aj v častiach Starý Smokovec, Tatranská Polianka a Vyšné Hágy.

V apríli ale mestské zastupiteľstvo rozhodlo o presunutí finančných prostriedkov z vianočnej výzdoby a mesto obnovilo celonočné svietenie.

Podľa aktuálneho oznámenia tento rok po Veľkej noci ale opäť pristúpilo k vypínaniu osvetlenia medzi Tatranskou Lomnicou a Matliarmi v čase od 22:40 do 6:00. V tejto lokalite malo podľa oznámenie umiestnené počítadlo prechodov a počas sviatkov tu za dva prázdninové týždne bolo zaznamenaných len 10 prechodov.

Vypínanie osvetlenia plánuje mesto rozširovať na základe informácií z počítadiel, ktoré premiestnilo do iných lokalít. Osvetlenie sa bude vypínať len mimo letnej turistickej sezóny.

Mesto sa popri aktuálnych informáciách o vypínaní verejného osvetlenia snaží poukázať, že toto opatrenie je zároveň prospešné pre ochranu životného prostredia vďaka eliminácii svetelného smogu.

K vypínaniu mesto pristúpilo po tom, ako podľa jeho informácií za január prišla faktúra zrejme za elektrinu na osvetlenie na 24-tisíc eur. Rozpočet na verejné osvetlenie na celý rok malo mesto ale vo výške 80-tisíc eur.

Štát samosprávam okrem iného za prvý štvrťrok poskytoval pomoc s cenami energií, keď z ceny elektrickej energie nad 199 eur za MWh a ceny plynu nad 99 eur za MWh prepláca 80% v maximálnej výške 200-tisíc eur za mesiac na jednu samosprávu. Samosprávy toto opatrenie ale nepovažujú za dostatočné a v januári uskutočnili protestnú iniciatívu "Mestám a obciam zhasína nádej".

K obmedzovaniu verejného osvetlenia už od minulého roka pristúpilo viacero samospráv, typicky ale nepoužívajú úplné vypnutie osvetlenia ale zníženie jeho intenzity napríklad zapínaním len časti lámp alebo používaním inteligentného osvetlenia reagujúceho na pohyb. Dôležitým faktorom nákladov je aj používanie úsporného LED osvetlenia, ktoré mesto Vysoké Tatry ešte nemá.
